Guatemala

Guatemala has been called “the Land of Eternal Spring” due to its lush climate, rich soil, and often esquire foliage. “Something is always in bloom in Guatemala” is a popular phrase, and perhaps the most beautiful blooms with the fullest potential are those of its inhabitants. The county is blessed with hard working, faithful, and proud people with a burs tingly full sense of hospitality and warmth.

From 2000 to 2017 and through the work of Episcopal parishes in the United States and in Guatemala, and the Roman Catholic sisters of The Precious Blood of Christ in Guatemala and Indiania, a rich ministry has intersected in the name of service to Jesus Christ.

This is a pictorial chronicle of many of those trips to the seven clinics, the school, and health Care Project founded by the Sisters of the Precious Blood – a celebration of relationships and countless projects that bore friendships and lasting mutual respect.

Russia

Through the Miami Valley Episcopal Russian Network and its youth exchange programs, thousands of pilgrims of all ages have been in relationship and exchanges made between the Russian Orthodox Church in Sablino Russia and the Miami Valley of central Ohio in the United States in the last twenty years.

A vibrant part of this partnerships has been a number of youth exchanges between parishes spanning from 1995 to 2009. This is a photographic chronicle of those journeys.

The Kilns, Oxford

Oxford and Cambridge don C. S. Lewis has been called the “greatest Christian writer in the English language” – opening the door of faith to millions of readers around the world. His words on Christian apologetics are indeed ones of “global ministry” and have been translated into most languages spoken in the our world.

“The Kilns” was C.S. Lewis’ Oxford home for the majority of his life. Now restored and administered by the CS Lewis Foundation of Massachusets, it is a place not open to public andshareonly with scholars in residence from Oxford and, on a limited basis, the United States.

This tour is a photographic chronicle of The Kilns after it was restored to its original state in the 2000s where this author was privileged to be in residence for several weeks in 2007.
